Wakefield Trinity are pleased to confirm that Craig Kopczak has agreed a new one-year contract with the club.
The deal will now see the forward stay at the Mobile Rocket Stadium until the end of the 2020 season.
The 32-year old was an off-season recruit from Salford Red Devils and has been an integral part of Chris Chester’s squad in the opening weeks.
The former Wales International has featured in all six games so far this season and opened his try-scoring account on his debut.
On signing his new deal, Kopczak said: “I have been made welcome from the first day and I’m really relishing the new environment. The group of lads we have here are all great and I’m loving every minute of my time here. Its bringing the best out of me and I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. I’m excited to be part of an outstanding squad we have.”
Trinity Head Coach, Chris Chester feels Kopczak has been enjoying the best football of his career since joining Trinity: “He’s started the season exceptionally well for us and I would say he’s playing some of the best footy of his career too. He’s added a lot to the pack and he is a really good guy to have around the place, so I’m delighted he’s extended his stay.”
