Wakefield Trinity would like to wish the very best of luck to Kyle Wood who has departed the club at the expiration of his contract.
Having previously played for the club in 2012-2013, Wood re-joined Trinity ahead of the 2017 season and played an influential part in back-to-back fifth-place finishes. The number 9 quickly impressed everyone at the club, picking up the Johnny Thompson Man of Steel award after several stellar performances throughout 2017.
The livewire hooker has been a huge and popular part of the Trinity team over the years and featured 165 times for the club in total, scoring 26 tries.
CEO Michael Carter said: “Kyle has been outstanding in his two spells at the Club. He has been a hugely popular figure within the Club, and departs to pastures new with all our very best wishes. Unfortunately it’s probably a consequence of the challenging financial situation that has left us not able to offer Kyle an extension. I wish him and family all the very best.”
Good luck for the future, Woody!
