Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation seeking volunteers

August 20, 2020

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation are seeking volunteers to provide support and prioritise reaching out to those who are at high risk from coronavirus and those living in areas of high deprivation who have faced significant challenges, particularly around their physical and mental wellbeing, as a result of the global pandemic.

The ‘Reach’ programme, will initially offer a six month intervention aiming to provide vital support to hundreds of people around the district. Recognising the impact of loneliness and isolation, the volunteer group will carry out daily phone calls to those most vulnerable and required to self-isolate, supporting social connections and providing peer to peer support.

Where required, you will collect basic supplies, including food and medication and drop them off under the most current social distancing guidelines.
