Wakefield Trinity Appoint New Non Executive Director

Wakefield Trinity are delighted to announce Andy Shuter has joined the Board as a Non Executive Director with specific focus on Marketing and New Business Partnerships.

Andy is a local businessman born and bred in Dewsbury, and based in Wakefield for the last 10 years with many contacts around the City.

Andy Shuter said, “I’m really excited to be coming on board at Wakefield Trinity. Been locally born I’ve always taken a keen interest in the Club, and the job that has been done here over the last 4 years has been magnificent.

“My aim is purely to help try and take the Club to the next level financially and will be working alongside Commercial Manager Verity Thomas to try and reach out to all the local businesses who, in my opinion, could gain a great deal from getting involved in the Club. Trinity is a totally inclusive Professional Sporting outfit involving Ladies teams and Physical Disability teams and as the only Elite sporting side in the City, I want to do my bit to ensure the long term prosperity of Wakefield Trinity.”

Chairman Michael Carter commented, “I have known Andy for a few years now and I am delighted with his offer to come on board. Our Commercial manager Verity Thomas has done a fantastic job since she started, and with Andy alongside to help, I’m positive that we will be able to source some fantastic new partnerships. Andy is a very passionate character and that can only be for the benefit of Wakefield Trinity.”
