Wakefield Trinity can confirm that Anthony Tupou has departed the club by mutual consent.
Tupou, 33, joined Trinity in 2016 on a two-year deal from NRL side, Cronulla Sharks. In his time at the club he made 18 appearances and scored four tries.
The second-rower expressed his desire to return back to Australia to be with his family after the end of the 2016 season after suffering with homesickness.
Chairman, Michael Carter said, “Unfortunately things did not work out as well as we all had hoped, Anthony and his family were suffering a lot with homesickness. We wish Anthony and his family the very best in the future.”
