Trinity Ladies To Host Widnes Vikings At The Mobile Rocket Stadium

Wakefield Trinity Ladies to host Widnes Vikings at the Mobile Rocket Stadium

On Sunday 10th of June, Wakefield Trinity Ladies will play their round five Championship fixture at the Mobile Rocket Stadium, when they face Widnes Vikings.

Our Ladies team are currently sitting at the top of the championship table having won their opening four fixtures during the 2018 campaign.

Head Coach Wayne Hirst has won all of his opening four games in charge and has instilled a new energy throughout the team.

We spoke to Hirst earlier today, “We are really looking forward to play this game at the mobile rocket stadium, it will be a great occasion for all the team to be part of and for the ladies to run out on the famous Belle Vue pitch. There is a great buzz throughout the group and they have really taken on board what we are trying to achieve as team. We are seeing individual improvements and a whole collective team improvement week on week which is very pleasing”.

Hirst continued, “We’ve had a good start to the season so far but we have plenty more to improve on and hopefully when we face Widnes we can show what we are capable of and put in a full all round performance. However we are not taking Widnes lightly and expect them to be a real tough challenge. I’m really looking forward to it and I know the ladies are and it will be great to see the Wakefield Trinity fans come along and enjoy an afternoon of exciting female rugby league”.

Female rugby league is one of the fastest growing sports, having 30 percent more teams over the past 12 months and still rising.

Entry on the day is just £3 Adults/Concessions and £1 for anyone under the age of 16.

Wakefield Trinity season ticket holders can enter for free.

The stadium will open at 12pm and their will be community girls rugby league games taking place as curtain raisers for the main event kicking off at 2pm.
