Following yesterday’s international announcement, Wakefield Trinity Ladies RL is delighted to announce the signing of Amy Bennett from Warrington.
Coming over from Cheshire, the 18-year-old comes to West Yorkshire looking to make an instant impact in the Trinity squad.
Currently playing at both club and university level, the youngster has enjoyed positive spells in 2021, earning her first call-up to England Students’ 22-player squad.
However, her sights are firmly set on Wakefield Trinity and has settled in well at the Be Well Support Stadium.
“I feel like I have settled in really well,” she said, speaking to the club’s media department.
“The players are a great bunch of girls, who are really friendly, welcoming and talented.
“The coaches are really good too and I feel like I am constantly learning and developing as a player.
“I’m feeling really positive at the moment and feel I can take these new skills and confidence with me to England students.”
Take your first chance to see Amy in action as Wakefield Trinity Ladies RL travel to Castleford Tigers in the Challenge Cup on 13th March.
