Wakefield Trinity can confirm the signing of talented hooker Mason Teague on a two-year deal.
The 23-year old joins the club from Queensland Cup side Burleigh Bears having previously played NRL with the Dolphins.
Teague comes in with a huge level of excitement surrounding him. As a 19-year old, he made his debut for the Dolphins back in 2023 under the tutelage of legendary coach Wayne Bennett going on to make eight appearances for Fins across the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
A former Penrith Panthers junior, Teague captained the Under 18 SG Ball side to a Premiership before his move to the Dolphins.
Teague has represented Cook Islands five times since his debut in the 2024 Pacific Bowl and will be looking to line up for his national side in the 2026 World Cup after he helped them qualify for the competition beating South Africa.
Equally adept at playing loose forward, the youngster will be joining Harvey Smith as Trinity form a deadly duo in the nine position.
Teague joins Wakefield ready to push Trinity to the next level alongside other 2027 recruits, Cameron Smith, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Emre Guler.
