Pratt Commits Future To Trinity

Oliver Pratt has committed his future to Wakefield Trinity signing a new four-year deal with the club until the end of 2028.

The 20-year old had an unbelievable 2024, playing in 34 games scoring 18 tries on his way to the Betfred Championship Young Player of the Year award.

Having come through the Academy system at Wakefield he made his debut in the Red, White and Blue in the Betfred Challenge Cup against Leigh Leopards in 2023.

A former Yorkshire Academy representative, Pratt will be looking to establish himself in the Super League and should have plenty of opportunities to play thanks to his versatility as an outside back.

Oliver Pratt said: “I’m pleased to have been offered the opportunity to stay at the club long term. I’ve loved my time here so far so when the opportunity came up to extend my stay with the club I was buzzing. I can’t wait to see how I develop over the next few years.”

Trinity Head Coach, Daryl Powell said: “Olly Pratt was one of our best players across all of last season. He is growing into a super confident player on and off the field and we think he will be a Super League outside back for many years.”

Recruitment Manager, Ste Mills said: “Olly had a great 2024 season, flourishing while playing consistent rugby led to him winning the Championship Young Player of the Year award. It was a key target for us to keep our home grown talent at Wakefield Trinity and Olly was a big part of this plan. I am very excited to see where the next couple of years can take him with his game and we are delighted to be keeping him in the Red, White & Blue.”

Oliver Pratt is sponsored by Margaret & Jack Fleming for the 2025 season.
