Wakefield Trinity are delighted to announce that Willie Poching will join the Club as Assistant Coach from November 1st.
Poching, who played for Trinity between 1999 and 2001, is currently working under Tony Smith as Assistant Coach at Hull KR.
The 47-year old arrives with a wealth of Super League coaching experience, having had spells at Warrington Wolves, Salford Red Devils and Hull KR.
Poching previously worked with Head Coach Chris Chester at Hull KR and is looking forward to working with him again in 2021 and 2022.
”It feels great to be back here,” said Poching.
”It’s a move I’m really excited about. Being here with Chezzy will be great and the club has some top ambitions.
”This club is going in the right direction and it’s up to me now to try and input some of my knowledge on the squad.”
Head Coach, Chris Chester is looking forward to welcoming Poching to the club.
”I really enjoyed working with Willie at Hull KR,” said Chester.
”We’ve kept in touch since those days and I’m looking forward to working with him again, and I know the boys will love working with him too.”
