New signing Davies loving life at Wakefield

Wakefield Trinity Ladies RL’s newest recruit, Kacey Davies, said that she “loved the club” during her first stint as she returns for 2022.

After spending the last few games at the club in 2021, Davies has now penned a deal that will see her spend the forthcoming year at the Be Well Support Stadium, something she is extremely pleased about.

“I loved playing at the club in 2021, and, although I only played a few of the last games of the season, I found I learnt so much in such a small amount of time.

“There was no doubt I would accept the offer if I was allowed to play in 2022.”

Preparations are well underway, with a keen eye been added into the fitness side of the game this time out, with the more senior members of the squad pushing them for every yard.

With a long, hard season to follow, the tiny details will be key when it comes to being up there at the end of the season.

“My goals for the season are to improve myself as a player, get stronger and be a great teammate and the best version of myself.

“I also aim to help my team during my time at Wakefield by always putting in maximum effort to achieve goals I need to improve as a player.”

A wealth of new faces in the camp has been exactly what the club needs, and with a mixture of youth and experience amongst the ranks, there will be no stopping the side when they step out on the pitch in 2022.

“It honestly feels like the squad has been together for years,” Davies said.

“Everyone is friendly and gets on, the atmosphere at training is immense and it’s an amazing environment to be in.

“We are all giving 100% as we all share the same goal of smashing this season.”
