Neil Fox MBE to Kick Off Masters Festival in Wakefield

Eastmoor Dragons are proud to announce that this year’s Yorkshire Masters Festival will be kicked off by Rugby League legend Neil Fox.

The games record points scorer, Fox, will be joined by fellow Hall of Fame member Ian Brooke, and ex Trinity and Hull star Kevin Harkin to launch an extravaganza of Masters Rugby League, a non competitive version of the sport designed specifically for players aged 35 and over.

The Dragons are one of the oldest and most established clubs in the British Amateur Rugby League; with the Wakefield outfit playing their first ever game over 140 years ago in 1873.

On 15th July, over 200 players from 15 different clubs as far afield as Cumbria will descend on the King George V Playing Fields with players ranging from 35 to 80 years of age.

The Festival will be opened and closed by Wakefield Trinity dance group, Dance Xplosion, and the day promises to be a full family affair with face painting, bouncy castles and a bucking bronco all on hand to ensure both children and adults are entertained.

The day will finish with a presentation in the clubhouse where both players and spectators will then be able to enjoy drinks and music into the night.

Masters Rugby is proud to be associated with Premier Sports, and our advert can be seen during all NRL games on Premier Sport.
