Match Preview – Wakefield v Warrington

Round 20 sees Wakefield Trinity welcome Warrington Wolves to the Beaumont Legal Stadium on Saturday July 1, kick-off 6.30pm.

Trinity will be looking at putting the recent defeats behind them as they look at securing a spot in the top eight, which can be achieved if they pick up the two points on Saturday.

Warrington go into the fixture on the back of a vital win against Catalans Dragons last weekend. After a tough season, the Wolves are fighting to get into the top eight; they are currently sitting three points behind the eighth spot.

Both sides have already met this season at the Halliwell Jones Stadium back in April, it was a hard fought contest but Warrington edged it after winning by 22-20.

Only two changes have been made by Chris Chester, he has brought in Dean Hadley after the second-rower was unable to face his parent club Hull FC last Friday night. Jordan Crowther has also been called up into the 19-man squad.

The players to drop out are James Batchelor who picked up a knock against Hull FC and Max Jowitt.

Warrington have been boosted with the return of Ratchford who is available following a suspension. Tony Smith has also named new signing Hiku, unfortunately they will be without Westerman who has a hip injury.
