Match Preview – Wakefield Trinity v Leeds Rhinos

Wakefield Trinity will welcome local rivals Leeds Rhinos to the Beaumont Legal Stadium on Saturday June 10; kick-off 7pm in round 18 of the Betfred Super League.

The Yorkshire derby is expected to be entertaining and if Trinity get the win they could move up to third in the table.

Trinity go into the fixture on the back of seven victories, six of them in the league and are currently sitting in the fourth spot of the table. The Rhinos have had mixed fortunes with results in recent weeks, however they got the win over Leigh Centurions last weekend.

In previous meetings between both clubs, Leeds come out on top having won the vast majority including the fixture earlier on in the season at the Beaumont Legal Stadium which saw the Rhinos got a 38-14 victory.

Chris Chester has made three changes to his 19-man squad. We will see the return of Mitch Allgood who suffered a broken hand and Dean Hadley who broke his cheekbone in the fixture against Leigh Centurions.

They have also been joined in the squad by Scott Grix who was rested against Salford Red Devils last weekend. Jordan Crowther, Ashley Gibson and Reece Lyne make way for the players.

Brian McDermott has made two changes to his 19-man squad after their victory over Leigh Centurions. Both Stevie Wood and Ashley Golding return whilst Josh Walters and Jordan Baldwinson make way.
