Round 3 of the 2017 Betfred Super League season comes this evening when Wakefield Trinity make the journey across the M62 to the Totally Wicked Stadium to face St Helens, kick-off 8pm.
Trinity will be looking for their first win of the season after close defeats against Huddersfield Giants and Hull FC.
Whilst Saints have had mixed fortunes over the previous two rounds; they won their opening game at home to Leeds Rhinos, however, their trip to Leigh Centurions last week resulted in a defeat.
Both sides will be eager to get the two points this evening, but St Helens go into the game after winning the last nine meetings. Our last win over Saints was back in August 2012 with a 33-32 victory at the Beaumont Legal Stadium.
Chris Chester has made three changes to his side; Joe Arundel has been named for the first time this season. He is joined by Academy product, James Batchelor and Mason Caton-Brown who is in contention of making his Super League debut in Trinity colours. They have replaced Jordan Crowther and the injured Ben Jones-Bishop and Anthony Walker.
Saints Head Coach, Keiron Cunningham has included new signing Zeb Taia in the 19-man squad alongside Calvin Wellington. Jonny Lomax and Luke Douglas miss out through injury.
