Match Preview – Huddersfield Giants v Wakefield Trinity

Wakefield Trinity will get their Super 8s campaign underway this evening with a short trip to the John Smith’s Stadium to face Huddersfield Giants, kick-off 8pm.

Trinity go into the campaign sitting in fifth position on 26 points, having just missed out on the fourth spot in the regular season on points difference. Whereas Huddersfield only just secured the final spot in the top eight having picked up form and being one point ahead of Warrington Wolves.

It was a mixed bag of results between the previous two meetings this season, the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium back in round two in February saw defeat for Trinity. However, the home fixture proved to be a much tighter affair which saw Trinity get the win with tries from Ben Jones-Bishop, Reece Lyne and Danny Kirmond.
