Wheelchair Rugby League

Wheelchair Rugby League

Wheelchair Rugby League is the most inclusive and accessible variant of Rugby League for all abilities. Our wheelchair team has been set up to improve the physical well-being of players who can’t participate in the running game. The game is quite unique in that it offers both disabled and non-disabled players the opportunity to compete both with and against each other. No matter what gender or age all players compete on a level playing field which is created by the use of wheelchairs and some slight adaptations of the rules of Rugby League.

The team train on Wednesday nights at St Thomas a Becket secondary school, if you are interested in joining the team or just want to have a go, please contact Charlie.doherty@wakefieldtrinity.com
