Captain Danny Kirmond is in line to make his 250th career appearance this evening, when Trinity make the short journey to face local rivals Leeds Rhinos.
Kirmond has played 121 times in the Red, White & Blue over two spells (2010 & 2012-present). The 31-year old has also played with Huddersfield (55 games, 2008-2011) and Featherstone (73 games, 2005-2007).
Chairman Michael Carter said, “Danny has been a true stalwart of this club. He could have very easily left the club a few years back when the money troubles occurred but he decided not to move and led the club from the front back from the abyss. This attitude was typified when he rushed himself back from a serious injury to lead the team in the 2015 ‘Million Pound Game’.
Danny is a true ambassador for the club off the field too, and goes out of his way to promote it. He is a true leader in every sense of the word.”
