Wakefield Trinity Community department are delighted to welcome two further players as community ambassadors.
The club are pleased to announce that both Danny Kirmond and Keegan Hirst will be joining Tom Johnstone as Community Ambassadors.
All three players will be leading figures in the support and promotion of our award winning Community development team. The department has grown from strength to strength in 2016 and are looking to have an even bigger impact on the community of Wakefield in 2017 by delivering quality programmes.
Lead Community Officer, James Stephenson said, “It is fantastic that we can get a number of the first team players on board, the community and younger generation look up to the players so it is vital that they can help us support and deliver a few programmes.”
Danny Kirmond said, “As captain of the club it is a real pleasure to become an ambassador with the community programme.
“James Stephenson and his team have done a really good job with pushing it on to the next level and have really helped to build relationships within the community. I look forward to being a part of helping to build and drive this even further.”
Keegan Hirst is pleased he can offer the support, saying, “It is a privilege to be asked to be involved with the community department. The whole team have worked really hard this year in delivering quality programmes to the Wakefield district. It is something for the club to be extremely proud of and I am delighted to offer my support.”
