Kettlethorpe High Become Player Development Centre

Following on from the launch of Trinity DNA, we are proud to announce that Kettlethorpe High School have not only become an accredited England Rugby League Player Development School but will also be the host of over 30 development days in 2018.

With pitch access at Belle Vue becoming less frequent due to protection, a site in which to host our Wakefield District sessions was required.

Kettlethorpe High have a rich history of Rugby across both codes and the Wakefield Trinity Head Coach, Chris Chester, is a former student at the school.

Craig Shepherd, General Manager Wakefield Trinity Community Trust, spoke of the partnership, “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Kettlethorpe High School and I couldn’t be more impressed with the way Tudor Griffiths, Dave Towler and Steve Haswell have supported our goals both short term and long term.

“To provide the facilities free of cost for over 30 development days that students from across Yorkshire will attend is incredible and we are grateful for the opportunity. We have just delivered CPD training to over ten staff (at Kettlethorpe) which helped them become accredited as an England Rugby League Player Development School and we deliver our Sky Try programme there also. I’ve no doubt this relationship will go from strength to strength.”
