Job Opportunities: First Team Physiotherapist & Sports Therapist/Rehabilitator

First Team Physiotherapist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Physiotherapist to join the first team medical department as Betfred Super League side Wakefield Trinity. This will be a full-time role which will includes the delivery of elite clinical management to injured players of the first team squad, alongside striving to maintain optimal player availability. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that high standards of medical services are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the medical team to assess and provide clinical diagnosis for injuries.
  • Be able to independently manage, treat and plan progressive rehabilitation programmes for injured players under your caseload.
  • Be proactive in the holistic care of players, applying research into practice surrounding the prevention of injuries.
  • Assist with the delivery of pre-game and pitch-side medical cover for the first team squad on match days.
  • Lead with the delivery of pre-game and pitch-side medical cover for the reserve squad on match days (x2 per month).

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy.
  • HPC and CSP registered.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience working within sport
  • Computer literate and experience of using common programmes (Word ,Excel)

 

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

  • RFL IMMOFP qualified or equivalent (willing to complete if successful)
  • Previous experience working in rugby.

 

SALARY

£25,000-£27,000 (dependant on experience)

Full Time Sports Therapist/Rehabilitator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Sports Therapist / Rehabilitator to join the medical department at Wakefield Trinity. This will be a full-time role, with duties split between the first team and u18’s squad. The successful candidate will work with the full-time medical staff assisting with duties for the first team squad, whilst leading with the medical provisions for the u18’s age group. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to progress their career with a full-time role in professional sport.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Assist the Head Physiotherapist and wider medical team in the management and care of injured first team players.
  • Be proactive in the holistic care of players, applying research into practice surrounding the prevention of injuries.
  • Assist with the delivery of pre-game medical needs for the first team squad on match days.
  • Lead the delivery of pre-game and pitch-side medical cover for the u18’s squad on match days (approx. 2 games per month).
  • Lead on the assessment and triage of u18’s players.
  • Be able to manage, treat and plan progressive rehabilitation programmes for injured players in the u18’s squad.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy or Sports Rehabilitation
  • Affiliation and insurance with appropriate professional body
  • Full UK driving licence.

 

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

  • RFL IMMOFP qualified or equivalent (willing to complete if successful)
  • Previous experience working with contact sports.

 

SALARY

  • £20,000-£23,000 (dependant on experience)
