Happy Healthy Holiday success for Trinity

Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to confirm another success as our Trinity Happy Healthy Holiday camps conclude for Summer 2023.

Following four weeks of games, activities and enjoyment, the Foundation has had the pleasure of keeping young people aged between 5 and 16 occupied throughout August as the school bell looks to ring once again in the coming weeks.

Starting on the 1st August, experienced staff members at Wakefield have pulled together to devise intricate sessions over the last month, comprising of indoor arts & crafts games, quizzes and a lot of sports along the way.

To keep young people occupied the Foundation partnered with Wakefield Council as we looked to combine our ever-growing Education department with Youth to make sure that those who participate enjoy their Summer away from the classroom.

This saw over 50 pupils attend our sessions over the course of the four-week period, some for a few days, whilst many came along for the whole month, making new friends, playing games and having fun.

Speaking on the success of our Happy Healthy Holiday camp, the Foundation’s Community Engagement Coordinator, Mason Atkinson, was delighted with the uptake and is pleased to see so many faces return throughout the sessions.

“We are extremely pleased with the overall programme, once again solidifying how strong we are when it comes to delivering Youth activities.

“The work put in by the staff to make sure that those who attend receive the enjoyment they come for has been second to none & we are looking forward to delivering the camps again soon.”

The Foundation would also like to take the time to thank Wakefield Council for all of their work in helping put the programme together for the Summer of 2023.
