Giants game to take place at John Smith’s Stadium

Wakefield Trinity’s rearranged game against Huddersfield Giants will now take place at the John Smith’s Stadium on Thursday 17th September with a 3pm kick off.

Explaining the decision, CEO Michael Carter said:

“We have the catch-up game from March when we were playing in the Challenge Cup and both Clubs now find themselves without a fixture next weekend, albeit whilst avoiding the Challenge Cup televised games.

“Although it is technically our home game, the Mobile Rocket Stadium has not yet been accredited to host games, whilst the John Smith’s Stadium has, and Huddersfield kindly offered to host the game. We were happy to accept and make sure the game gets played in these turbulent times. Many thanks to Huddersfield for facilitating this.

“The game will be available to all season ticket holders on a request basis via the OurLeague platform.’
