Introduction

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a once-in-a-lifetime government-backed opportunity open to all 15-17-year-olds in England. Running over the summer and autumn, the experience helps young people build skills for work and life, while they take on new challenges and meet new friends.

To date, approximately 600,000 young people have taken part in NCS across the country. The experience is specifically designed to bring together young people from different backgrounds and helps them develop greater self-awareness, responsibility and confidence that will stick with them for life. Additionally, it also looks great on any CV or UCAS statement.
