Trinity Education

As a local charity, who have inspired and engaged people of all ages for some 16 years, we aim to use the Wakefield Trinity brand to educate and develop our communities. Our impact is recognised by thousands of local residents, largely young, impressionable youths through our existing work.

Our Education department has developed significantly over the last three years, with our School Sports Partnership expanding from a casual staff model to a full-time PE Specialist model, with four PE Specialists delivering in schools across the Wakefield district and beyond.

We have developed our offer, along with our partners at Wakefield Trinity Rugby League department and the Leeds United Foundation, to include a full wrap-around PE and Sport Provision.

The success of our SSP model has now allowed us to launch the Trinity Education department, which will come into effect from the 2022/23 academic year. This will include our ‘Trinity Primary Education’ and our brand new ‘Trinity Alternative Provision’ sub-departments, catering our provision to classes from EYFS, to Year 13.

What we do:

  • Established in 2018, the School Sport Partnership works within Primary Schools to develop opportunities in Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity.
  • This academic year, our SSP PE Specialists work towards our own, freshly developed PE curriculum.
  • Our SSP currently supports 20 schools situated across Outwood Grange Academies Trust and Waterton Academies Trust.
