Play Touch Rugby League has been a long standing event in the Wakefield Trinity calendar but in 2017 the format was developed and well led by Darren Fisher.
The focus was around creating a customer experience that kept teams engaged for the duration and this culminated in a first class finals night.
We were proud to receive the award from the RFL for ‘Play Touch Licensee of the Year’ and look forward to the next competition which we hope to deliver over the winter.
Our second award of the night was to James Stephenson, Community Manager, for his hard work on the Sky Try programme relating to the Ambassador club scheme. The game day experience at Wakefield Trinity is second to none and has provided hundreds of children with the opportunity to play on the ‘Field of Dreams’ at the Beaumont Legal Stadium as pre-match entertainment.
As ever, we are delighted to be nominated and to have received further accolades supporting our Award-Winning Trust. Thank you to all involved, without you these awards would not have been possible.
