Charity Trustee Vacancies

Do you have the drive, vision and ambition to help shape the future for the children and inhabitants of Wakefield?

Our award winning Charity is seeking to recruit additional Trustees to help lead the organisation during an exciting period of growth and change.

We’re an active Charity which aims to use the power of sport and other physical activities such as dance to engage with young people, and feed them towards more healthy fulfilling and positive lifestyles.

An active fundraising Charity and grant maker, Wakefield Trinity Community Trust exists to deliver projects alongside the Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Football Club. The central income stream comes from our main partner Sky Try which generates £100,000, but we have bold plans for future income generation.

We are looking for creative, dynamic professionals with a genuine interest in charitable work. Applicants must be able to work as a team, have the ability to understand charitable purpose and have time to be able to attend board meetings. Trustees have to be 18 years of age or over and must conform to the Charities Act eligibility.

We are particularly looking for applicants with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Sport
• Health
• Education.
• Accountancy
• Fundraising

Trustees are unpaid, although reasonable out of pocket expenses may be reimbursed. Meetings are held once each month either in the early morning or early evening.

If you think you have the qualities we are looking for and the desire to contribute, please email Mick Amos, Director of Operations at mickamos@wakefieldtrinity.com with a short description why you want to join the board.

Successful applicants will be requested to attend a short informal interview with the current board and sign relevant Trustee declarations.

For an informal discussion or further information about these vacancies, please contact Mick Amos on 07747168024.

The closing date for email applications is 8th July 2017. Interviews will be held at The Beaumont Legal Stadium shortly after the deadline.
