Battye joins on loan

Wakefield Trinity are pleased to announce the signing of Eddie Battye on a loan deal from London Broncos until the end of the season.

The 29-year old bolsters Trinity’s forward pack for the rest of the year and immediately links up with the squad for training.

Battye has been highly impressive at the Broncos and was a big part of the pack in their Super League campaign in 2019.

Speaking on his move to Trinity, Battye said: “I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in at Wakefield.

“I’ve kept myself ready throughout this period and I’m really excited to get the chance to get some minutes at Wakefield, a great and historic club.

“I enjoyed my year in Super League last year and I’m looking forward to playing in Super League once again.”

Head Coach, Chris Chester, added: “I’m pleased to welcome Eddie to the club on a loan deal until the end of the season.

“Eddie will boost our pack and gives us some depth there with the games coming thick and fast.

“He showed what can do at Super League level with London last year, and I’m looking forward to working with him for the remainder of 2020.”
