We are delighted to announce a new partnership with local butchers and delicatessen, ArtiZAn. Based on Leeds Road in Wakefield, ArtiZAn opened their doors in March 2021 and specialise in a fantastic range of raw and cured meats, inclusive of their famous Biltong. They have become suppliers of all raw meat products and Biltong purchased by the club.
Mark Freeman, owner of ArtiZAn, was diagnosed with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after a 20 year battle struggling with mental health issues. He has since vowed to help others with similar problems and has thrown his support behind some great charities and organisations that do just that, in particular the charity Mind, where he is still an active member. Mark has pledged to employ members of staff who currently have or have suffered from mental health issues themselves, giving them the support to get back into work.
Mark Freeman said: “It’s been a whirlwind of a start with the new shop! I can’t thank the people of Outwood and wider Wakefield enough for all of their support! To have such recognition of the quality of our products so early on from Michael Carter and his team at Trinity, really is a dream start. As a thank you to the club, I would like to offer 10% discount in my shop for any Trinity season passholder. A huge thank you to Reece Lyne too. Reece has joined forces as an ambassador for our business to assist us in raising awareness of mental health, for this we are eternally grateful!”
Verity Thomas, Commercial Manager at Trinity, said: “We are really pleased to have a partnership in place with Artizan. I commend Mark for his honesty with his own mental health battle and what a great way to support others in a similar situation. We look forward to working with Mark going forward”.
