Wakefield Trinity number 10 Tinirau Arona will proudly wear ‘Masoe 10’ on the back of his shirt in our game against Wigan Warriors this evening.
Betfred Super League as a whole are coming together during Round 2 with all fixtures supporting Mose Masoe. Fans can buy virtual tickets and support Mose here.
Mose was tragically injured at the Mobile Rocket Stadium during a pre-season game at the beginning of 2020, and Arona will be wearing a shirt dedicated to Mose before auctioning it off following the game, with all funds raised going to the Mose Masoe Foundation.
Arona admits it will be an “honour” to wear Mose’s name on the back of his shirt this evening.
“When I first went to Sydney Roosters, Mose looked out for me and always made sure I felt welcome,” said Arona.
“He is a good friend of mine and it’s an honour to wear his name to show our support to him and his family.”
Full details on the auction of the special shirt will be announced following the game.
