Academy Player Profile: Harry Bowes

Over the coming days, we will getting to know a little more about players in our Academy & Reserves teams here at Trinity. Today we start with Harry Bowes….

NAME: HARRY GEORGE BOWES
AGE: 18
JUNIOR CLUB: SHAW CROSS SHARKS
POSITION: LOOSE FORWARD/HOOKER

Player you looked up to as a child? Paul Gallen, Sean O’Loughlin and Michael McIlorum are three players I’ve always looked up to.

How do you spend your free time? In my free time I like to spend time with family and friends. I like to watch movies and go out for food (usually Nando’s).

What does a training day consist of? In the morning we have a weights session at 7:30am until 8:15am and then at 4:30pm until 6pm we have training on the field.

Short-term and long-term goals? My short-term goal is to play as many games as I can for the academy and reserves, staying injury free and playing my best rugby. My long-term goal is to have a successful career in Super League, playing for Wakefield Trinity.

Toughest player in the academy? We have a fair few tough lads in the academy, but JP (James Patrickson) and Scriv (Jay Scriven) would have to be up there.

Favourite and least favourite part of training? My favourite part of training would have to be getting the opportunity to play rugby with my mates everyday. My least favourite part about training would be waking up on cold and dark mornings.
